Birthday funeral

On your birthday, will you be happy or sad? Nevermind that, It has nothing to do with this story.

Last month, me and Dawn went to the shopping mall to buy a birthday gift for Misty. One day till her birthday, Misty's mom set up a birthday party for Misty. We were invited to join.
When me and Dawn are deciding which gift to give Misty, I saw a very odd shop. The shop has a wooden board hanging on the shop's door, the wood has 5 words crafted into it, the 5 word is "WEIRD". The shop is painted with the colour black, it's glass is very black. Purple curtain hanging down the window. Who in the world would name his/her own shop "WEIRD"? Really weird.
I told dawn about that shop, we decided to go into the shop and have a look what it sells.
I walk into the shop and Dawn follow me at the back, the first thing we saw is SKELETONS. I tried to scream but i can't, Dawn walk toward and poke the skeleton. I was shocked that dawn did that. Dawn turn to me and say "Don't worry, these are plushies, they only look real and that's all." I highly doubt that. I walk toward the skeleton and poke it too. I was shocked that it really was a plushies.
Dawn says "Misty love scary things, lets buy her these plushie, she will be scared."
I argee with what Dawn says so we started looking around. The shop was bigger than I imagined.
I walked around the shop with dawn and saw alot of plushies. I saw brains, hearts, lungs, bats, rotted flowers, and a weird type of green liquid. Dawn and I walk toward the green liquid. The liquid was kept in a test tube. She took one up and look at it.
Suddenly, an old woman with a weird costume walked toward us. She a wear a torn dark purple gown, a big hat like the witch's hat we usually saw in the TV, a black shoes decorated with rotted flower.
She said "Welcome to Weird. My name is Lucious Pharatomes, you can call me Lucious."
Dawn was shocked but she stay calm.
I ask "Miss Lucious, what is those green liquid in the bottles?"
"You can erase the "miss". That is made from the pixie's brain. It was pressed into liquid. It was named as Pixie brain. As for the purple liquid, it was made out of witch's nails, fairy's wings and bat's eye. Named as Lake of Star." Lucious said while pointing at the purple liquid at the corner of the shop.
Dawn put down the bottle in her hand and ask "What does these do?"
Lucious said "If you drink Pixie brain, you can gain unlimited knowledge. If you drink the Lake of star, you will gain unlimited strength. Drinking both will be more effective. Both for 15 dollars only."
Dawn took 1 bottle of Pixie brain and 1 bottle of Lake of star and walk toward Lucious. She open her wallet and draw out 2 10 dollar. She gave the 20 dollar to Lucious and said "I will buy this."
Lucious walk to a table next to the door and open it's drawer. She took put a 5 dollar and pass it to Dawn.
I look around trying to find a gift for Misty. Suddenly, I saw a puppet with a broken left eye, holding a scythe on it's right arm, wearing a black death god's coat, and have "Inferno" crafted on it's tummy.
"Lucious, how much will this cost?" I ask.
"5 dollar." Lucious said.
And so, I took out a 5 dollar and gave it to Lucious, Lucious passed it to Dawn again.
She gave me and dawn a little box and said "If you want to give these as a birthday present, put it into this box."
Dawn and I look at each other and we took the box. We walk out of the shop.
When we walked far away from that weird shop. Dawn say "What a creepy women, should we really put these into the box？" I answered "Well who care? This box just fit our present, let's put it in and write both our name together." "Yeah, maybe i think too much."Dawn say. And so Dawn came to my house and we put the present into the box. I took out a black card with skeleton mark printed on it and sign my name, then i pass it to Dawn. Dawn stare at the card for a while and sign her name too. I put the card into the box and close it.

The next day, I wore a pretty dress that i usually won't wear. I meet dawn at the apartment Misty live. We walk in Misty's house and saw a lot of black, red and white. "Misty, you cannot put this much black on your birthday party, it will bring you bad luck." Said dawn. "Aww, who care? Come on in and play till your heart content."Misty said. I look at dawn and she took out the box Lucious gave us yesterday and say"This is the birthday gift from Vemily and Dawn." I nod and Misty took the box. Misty shake the box and try to figure it out what is it but Dawn stop her,"Don't shake. Don't broke the glass inside."

After we play some few games and eat cake and sing a few songs, its finally time to open presents~ Yay! Misty open the present from the biggest to the smallest. She open mine and Dawn's present last. Misty look at the bottle and close the box. Dawn and I look at each other wondering if Misty don't love our present. After everyone has gone home and the room turned back into its usual clean. Misty pull us into her room and ask "Hey, Dawn, Vem, What is this? Its sooooo cool. maybe it was alien's brain or or the rubbish that ghost don't want and you pick it up right? right?" "Unfortunately we won't give out best friend rubbish as present, the bottle one are Pixie brain and Lake of star, if you drink those , you will gain ultimate strength and knowledge." Dawn said."The plushie is a death god, i choose it cause i know you love these kind of things." While i continue.
Misty took out the bottle and drink it without even thinking. and suddenly her body glows a dim purple coloured light, so beautiful..... so elegant...... so dangerous I cannot pull my eyes away from Misty although I know I need to.
Misty's eyes turn red. Dawn opens her mouth in disbelief. Suddenly, I notice that we're not in Misty's room anymore. This space is so big, I can never see the end. This space is so dark, but there is a few round shaped mystic crystal that lights up this dimension. I call it dimension because i don't think that this is still earth.
Dawn push me a little and point at Misty. I look toward Misty but surprised. Misty grows wings. Not those pure white wings but pure black wings. Her eyes have been wrap up by some bandage. She point her blackened fingers at us and say some weird word "Επιστροφής στον τόπο ανήκετε." I know it was greek because I used to learn a little. It means "Return to the place you belong" I told Dawn that and she ask "What does that means? I mean we can't go back to where we belong because we have no idea how or when we came here." I took in a deep breath and say "I know."
Misty says another word "Είμαι ο διάβολος από την κόλαση, αν δεν εξαφανίζονται πλέον, θα λάβετε τιμωρία."
Dawn wanted a translation from me but I can only translate it a little bit. "I'm...Devil...Hell...you...disappear...now...punishment....Urgh something like that." I said.
"I'm a devil in hell, If you don't disappear now, you receive punishment. Something like that right?"
"Who knows."
"Vemily, tell Misty, We love to but perhaps you can tell us how."
They completely think I'm a translating machine. I was angry but still did as Dawn told.
"αγαπάμε να αλλά ίσως μπορείτε να μας πείτε πώς."
Misty flap her wings a little and a bright light shine on me and Dawn. After we open our eyes again, we're back to Misty's room. The only thing different is Misty is not here anymore. I look at Dawn hoping she would think of something about what just happened since she has top grades in our school. but Dawn look blankly at me.
Finally, I broke the silence "I think we're in trouble. The drink change Misty into that creature."
"The real problem is how we get Misty back?" Dawn ask.
I think very hard that I have a headache. Suddenly, an idea come in mind. Before I forgot, I tell Dawn "Here's the plan: Since Misty speak in Greek, then I will go research some mystical being in Greek. While you will learn Greek to understand what Misty say."
"Great, I agree."
And so, we crept out of Misty's room and went to my house, I have a lot of book teaching the language Greek. Dawn took out the book and start reading. And I turn on the computer and type in "Devil of Greek". To my surprise, a lot of pictures went showing up. I check them out one by one and finally found one resemble Misty. I call Dawn and we read together:
Devil of Greek
This is the most dangerous type of devil exist in Greek, its name is "kindynos". There is a legend says that a wizard who live in Greek use a type of black magic to summon a devil, but she failed and created a new type of devil because of the wrong combination of ingredients. The devil killed the wizard and create its own race.
In the few centuries, human live in fear. Finally, a group of demon killer named as "chioni" appear, they use a type of specially made silver bullet to kill them. But in the end, they are still killed by the Devil king.
After another few centuries, human found out a new combination of potion that will turn human into Kindynos. The potion is a mixed of pixie brain and witch's nail, fairy's wings and bat's eyes know as Lake of star. If a human drink both, then the person will turn into Kindynos.

After reading all these. Dawn and I look at each other. Then, I scroll down and saw a lot of comments. I post a comment asking if there is any way to turn the Kindynos back into human. After a few second, there is a reply:
Yes, you have to get the correct combination of materials used to summon a normal devil with the correct incarnation. One wrong step and you're dead. However the combination and incarnation don't exist anymore, unless......

The comment stop here. I quickly type in "Unless?"

Unless you make a contract with the Kindynos. But you have to sacrificed something. Normally, you will have to sacrifice the thing you love most.
The thing I love most.... My family of course. I stand up and walk to my bed where all the book that teach Greek is laying on. I took up the book and re-read it one more time. This time, I will make sure I learn it all. Dawn is still starring into the computer in disbelief. She keep on typing and clicking.
After a few hours, I put down the last book that teach Greek. I close my eyes for a bit to rest and make a recap of what I just read. Dawn is still typing there. Suddenly, She shout very loudly and almost scare me "Vemily, come, quickly!!!" I quickly move toward my computer and saw what she meant to shout.

Is there anything else to sacrifice?

It base on the Kindynos, If he or she like something very much, then you can make it as a sacrifice item.

Anymore information about those Kindynos? Like some big accident or such? Maybe a little more information about Kindynos's weakness? How can the silver bullets created by chioni kill them?

Kindynos is a type of mystical being. They are a combination of demon, devil and angel. They made the most powerful and dangerous race exist in hell and even heaven. As for big accident, I'm not too sure but maybe you can search it through the net. Since Kindynos is part devil, part demon, then they hate water. Water can hurt any devil or demon, even the strongest. But another part angel made water not so harmful to them. So only a special type of water can hurt them. Chioni use 1/3 mercury 1/3 water 1/4 silver and an unknown ingredient to make the silver bullet. the unknown ingredient is only known to their descendants. The people around you have a chance that they might be their descendants. You can try asking people.

I stared in disbelief. Dawn is sweating very much that her cloth is all socked in her sweat.
I turn to Dawn and tell her "Dawn, Maybe we really should do as that person said. Let's try to make a rumor about these Kindynos at school."
Dawn slowly turn to me and ask "Are you serious?"
I nod at her. Dawn also nod and she went back home. Lay on my bed wondering what to do next. I got up after a few minutes and get dress. After placing back all the books lying on my bed into the bookshelf, I went out to the library. I decide to learn Greek Language, well incase something happens, it will come in handy.
I stayed until the library is closing. I borrow a few books and went home. 'Chioni ehh? Sounds fun...' I been thinking about that since Dawn left. There is a storage room used to keeps different books in my house. I creep in there without letting anyone knowing, especially my Father. All those books there made me dizzy but still, I try to find something. Finally, I found it. I took out the book and went back to my room, of course, leaving no trace of me been in there.
"2/3 mercury, 1/3 water, 1/4 silver and 2/4 Gunpowder... So that's it." Mumbling to myself while taking note. It's not like I'm one of those Chioni, only my father is interested in those weird being and I don't believe Chioni exist until now. He know everything about Chioni but unfortunately I can't ask him anything, well I don't want him bursting question to me.
My phone suddenly rang and I went to get it. When I answer, my blood is all froze still. "Today is the day your friend dies. A birthday funeral sounds nice. Hahahahahahaha" An old and stiff voice said. The last sentence echo in my mind strongly. I immediately cut the call and ran down to the living room. I made sure no one is there before I took up my mother's phone and dialed Dawns number. After Dawn heard what happened, she didn't reach my expectation to scream or fainted but she remain calm.
"I also receive a call like that, right before you phone me." She said.
